The Flash Executive producer Todd Helbing recently teased when we can expect to hear some news regarding the next season’s villain and it’s sooner than you think.
The Flash is a show that has dealt with plenty of convoluted timelines and wacky enemies while making it all seem grounded in the world that’s been set up, which is no easy feat. While there has been plenty of recent TV cancellations, The Flash isn’t one of them. One thing that fans can expect next season for the speedster and his team is a new foe, though Helbing isn’t ready to name names just yet. There was originally supposed to be a tease for the villain at the end of the current season’s finale, but it never happened. This is what the producer had to say while speaking with Entertainment Weekly and why the stinger didn’t make the cut:
“What happens more often than not is, we shoot a lot of stuff in the finale that gets cut. So for time we had to cut it. It was gonna be the tag at the end of the episode. But we’ll get it out; the public will see it before the season starts. Maybe we’ll release it online or at Comic-Con. But yeah, it just it came down to a time thing.”
Although we have yet to be shown who the villain will be on the next season of The Flash, it seems that the announcment could be right around the corner. From the sound of it, the stinger was shot and simply cut out, so realistically they could post it whenever they wanted to. Sure they could do it tomorrow if they wanted, but why not let fans breath after the recent season finale and let that tease build up? If Helbing says it could appear near Comic-Con, I’m thinking it’s a safe bet to assume we’ll see it there or in the days leading up to the event.
Who would you like to see as the villain next season? Let us know in the comments below!
The Flash stars Grant Gustin as Barry Allen/The Flash, Candice Patton as Iris West, Danielle Panabaker as Caitlin Snow/Killer Frost, Carlos Valdes as Cisco Ramon/Vibe, Tom Cavanagh as Harrison Wells, Jesse L. Martin as Detective Joe West and Keiynan Lonsdale as Wally West/Kid Flash.
The Flash will return for a fifth season on The CW.

10 Actresses Who Should Play Batwoman In The Arrowverse
It was just revealed that Batwoman herself will make an appearance in the next major Arrow crossover. After including characters like The Flash and Supergirl, Kate Kane herself is swinging into the Arrowverse. The character has been featured in animated DC projects, but she has never appeared in live-action before.
A talented actress is needed to bring such a strong character to life. Batwoman is just as fierce a fighter as her cousin Batman and she has a unique view on the world. An ex-soldier who was raised by her obsessive father, Kate Kane picked up the Batwoman mantle separate from her cousin’s decision to fight crime in Gotham. She has no problem putting herself in harm’s way to protect others and she’s also an intelligent tactician who will challenge Oliver Queen for the top slot in Arrow’s Justice League.
