The first half of The Flash Season 3 spent a lot of time dealing with the new changes that Flashpoint had caused to several of our characters, from Caitlin Snow becoming a meta-human with ice powers to Cisco Ramon/Vibe losing his brother. While Season 3B will be heavily focused on making sure that the future that Barry saw doesn’t happen, that’s just one of many storylines that are coming.
Thanks to TV Line, that released their Winter TV Preview featuring several scoops for multiple TV shows that are coming back, we finally know a little bit about what’s coming up. TV Line spoke with executive producer Aaron Helbing who teased that they have “big, exciting plans” in terms of Caitlin’s powers. It should be noted that when Barry was watching the news coverage in the future, one of the headlines you could see was “Killer Frost Still At Large”.
In addition, Helbing spoke a little bit about the introduction of the DC Comics character Gypsy. A couple of weeks ago, it was announced that Sleepy Hollow star Jessica Camacho will be portraying the Justice League Detroit character in the second half of the season. Helbing described the show’s take on Gypsy as “bad-ass” and “a very strong adversary” to Cisco who won’t be able to stop thinking about her when they interact. Carlos Valdes, who portrays Cisco, recently spoke about the arrival of Gypsy and teased that we will see Vibe develop new abilities during this arc with her.
“There’s going to be a new visitor to our world named Gypsy. DC Comics fans will be familiar with Gypsy. She is going to be coming in our world and Vibe will definitely get to learn some new skills as part of getting to know her. So I’m excited to see how that plays out.”
