The season three finale of The Flash saw Barry Allen sacrificing himself to the Speed Force in order to save Central City, but he won’t be trapped in there for long.
A newly-released poster for the fourth season of the series features a “reborn and recharged” Scarlet Speedster, teasing the character’s return and the more positive, new direction the series is said to be taking with him this year.

COMING HOME — With Barry (Grant Gustin) in the speed force, Iris (Candice Patton), Kid Flash (Keiynan Lonsdale), Joe (Jesse L. Martin) and Vibe (Carlos Valdes) have taken over protecting Central City. However, when a powerful armored villain threatens to level the city if The Flash doesn’t appear, Cisco makes a risky decision to break Barry out of the speed force. However, the Barry that comes out isn’t the same Barry that went in. Glen Winter directed the episode with story by Andrew Kreisberg and teleplay by Todd Helbing & Eric Wallace (401).
The series stars Grant Gustin as Barry Allen, Candice Patton as Iris West, Danielle Panabaker as Caitlin Snow/Killer Frost, Carlos Valdes as Cisco Ramon/Vibe, Tom Cavanagh as Harrison Wells, Jesse L. Martin as Detective Joe West and Keiynan Lonsdale as Wally West/Kid Flash.
The Flash returns for its fourth season on October 10th at 8/9c on The CW.
