The fifth season of The Flash just began shooting in Vancouver and details regarding the production seem to indicate that the scenes involve a flashback. Theories are already being developed what this could mean. It could very well mean a flashback but this could also be something involving time travel.

The image below shows Barry Allen/The Flash (Grant Gustin) in his old suit and the video shows a jewelry store heist. It’s unclear what this means but regardless, the next season will definitely have a plot point involving the past.

Let the speculation begin! Here is an image as well as a video from the set:

The series stars Grant Gustin as Barry Allen/The Flash, Candice Patton as Iris West, Danielle Panabaker as Caitlin Snow/Killer Frost, Carlos Valdes as Cisco Ramon/Vibe, Tom Cavanagh as Harrison Wells, Jesse L. Martin as Detective Joe West and Keiynan Lonsdale as Wally West/Kid Flash.

The Flash will return for its fifth season this fall on Tuesday nights at 8 pm on The CW.
