‘The Flash’ S3 Will Not Only Focus On ‘Flashpoint’ Storyline

The Flash 22309

At San Diego Comic-Con, fans of The CW’s The Flash learned that season three will feature the “flashpoint” storyline but now Grant Gustin is confirming that “flashpoint” will not last the entirety of the third season.

During an interview with Kevin Smith and IMDB, Gustin addressed a question that many fans still have on their mind following the season two finale, ‘Why did Barry do that?’ and how ‘flashpoint’ is a focus of season three but not the only storyline.

“People were like, ‘Why did he do that?’ And I think that he wasn’t going to do that, but I think that sitting on that porch, having just defeated Zoom, Iris says to Barry what he’s always wanted to hear, and he feels empty inside. That was the moment… As selfish as it was that Barry wanted his parents, I think it’s more about ‘these two speedsters took away their life because of me and they deserve to have a chance at life. I can’t do this, I need to give them that chance…I think we can state Flashpoint does not last all season long. But there are permanent ramifications.”

Parallel universes…and doppelgangers…and man-sharks, oh my! The second season of The CW’s highest-rated series had more than its fair share of twists and turns, but none compared to Barry Allen’s jaw-dropping decision to go back in time and save his mother from his arch-nemesis, Reverse-Flash, a decision that called the entire timeline into question. 7 Episodes will be Flashpoint in my opinion. Barry will reset everything in time for the crossover event

      Probably less.

I think it will only be two episodes. 3 at the very most. In the comic con trailer, it already looks like Barry is saying bye to his parents, saying bye to Iris, and getting ready to go back in time. They had only filmed 2 episodes by the time that trailer was released.

We shall see but without a doubt by the crossover it will be done
