’The Flash’/’Supergirl’ Musical: Darren Criss Cast As Music Meister

Supergirl The Flash Music Meister Darren Criss-The CW has announced that Glee’s very own Darren Criss has been tapped to bring the Music Meister to life in the highly anticipated musical crossover between Supergirl and The Flash. This marks as a reunion with his fellow Glee co-stars, Grant Gustin and Melissa Benoist, who plays Barry Allen and Kara Danvers respectively. Andrew Kreisberg, show-runner and executive producer of both shows, said this in a statement to TV Line about the casting of Criss.

“With our Flash and our Supergirl being Glee alums, how could we not have them go up against another Glee favorite like Darren Criss?. We have been blown away by his talent over the years and we can’t wait to see what he brings to the Music Meister.”

It was recently announced that the musical crossover will start at the end of episode 16 of the Girl of Steel’s second season on Monday, March 20. Episode 17 of the Scarlet Speedster’s third season titled “Duet”, which airs on Tuesday, March 21, will be where musical takes place the most. Dermott Downs, who has directed several episodes of all the CW DC TV shows, will be directing episode 17.

The musical event will feature stars from all four CW shows with Joe West (Jesse L. Martin), Cisco Ramon (Carlos Valdes), Martin Stein (Victor Garber), Malcolm Merlyn (John Barrowman) and Winn Schott (Jeremy Jordan) that will all be making singing appearances. Martian Manhunter (David Harewood) and Mon-El (Chris Wood) will be appearing as well, but not in singing capacity.

Supergirl airs on Monday nights while The Flash airs on Tuesday nights, both respectively at 8/7c on The CW. Make sure to check back at Heroic Hollywood after every single episode of Season 2 and Season 3 respectively for our weekly reviews.

There is a mistake in the first paragraph, “This marks as a reunion with his fellow Glee co-stars, Grant Gustin and Melissa Benoist, who plays Barry Allen and –Melissa Benoist– respectively”

I know they’re hiring writers, but they really need to hire an editor or two to review stories before they’re posted. Errors like the one you point out are almost always expected in stories on this site.
