Harrison Ford Accidentally Hits Ryan Gosling In ‘Blade Runner 2049’ Still

Blade Runner 2049Accidents happen — especially when it comes to filming fight choreography for a major motion picture. Harrison Ford accidentally punched Ryan Gosling for real on the set of Blade Runner 2049, and Gosling’s dumbstruck look, along with Ford’s shocked response, has been immortalized by means of an official still.

While Ford’s character (Rick Deckard) doesn’t appear until the second half of the movie, he does play a big part opposite Gosling’s character (Officer K), who serves as the main character. What footage has been released of Blade Runner 2049 suggests that while the two characters need each other, tensions are high between them both. So naturally, this means that at one point, the characters get into a fight late into the movie.

Unfortunately, it looks like said fight scene didn’t quite work out as planned when they were filming, as Ford’s fake-punch to Gosling turned out to be a real one, with hilarious results:

As it stands, Blade Runner 2049 is coming off of the cusp of some great reviews and support from the fans of the original cult classic. Trends indicate that the movie could open above $50M in the United States, which would be a big win for Warner Brothers in what’s shaping up to be one of their most successful years ever at the domestic box office. So perhaps the price of Gosling being decked in the face by an unsuspecting Ford is worth it for the art of the film.

Blade Runner 2049 will show audiences things they won’t believe on October 6, 2017. Its cast includes Ryan Gosling, Harrison Ford, Hiam Abbass, Barkhad Abdi, Ana de Armas, Dave Bautista, David Dastmalchian, Mackenzie Davis, Sylvia Hoeks, Lennie James, Carla Juri, Jared Leto, Edward James Olmos, and Robin Wright.
