‘Black Panther’ Adds Forest Whitaker, Daniel Kaluuya & Florence Kasumba

In breaking news, Variety reports that Academy Award winning actor, Forest Whitaker has joined Chadwick Boseman in Marvel’s Black Panther. The actor will of course appear in December’s Star Wars: Rogue One, in which he will play Saw Gerrera. While the news of Whitaker joining Black Panther may be extremely surprising to many, there is no doubt that his experience working with Disney on Rogue One gave him the confidence to join another property from the ‘House of Mouse.’

The casting was double confirmed by Marvel on their official website. Marvel also reveal that Whitaker will play Zuri, an “elder stateman in Wakanda.”

In addition to this, it has also been confirmed that Winston Duke will play M’Baku in the film, and he has been described as “leader of a rival tribe in Wakanda.” Captain America: Civil War actress Florence Kasumba will also reprise her role from the film as Ayo, a member of the Dora Milaje. Daniel Kaluuya will play T’Challa confidant W’Kabi.

So what do you guys think? Are you even more excited than you original were? Black Panther hits theatres everywhere on February 16, 2018.
