Freddie Stroma Won’t Appear On ‘Game Of Thrones’ Season 7

Game of Thrones has become known for killing off characters, no one is safe but in the case of Freddie Stroma, scheduling conflicts have resulted in him leaving HBO’s Game of Thrones.

During the finale episodes of Game of Thrones season six, Sam Tarly and Gilly arrived at the Tarly homestead. It was at that location that the Tarly family was introduced to audiences, including Sam’s brother Dickon, played by Stroma. Stroma has announced that he will not be returning for season seven of Game of Thrones but was grateful for the opportunity.

“I was shooting this, so my character, I wouldn’t be able to go back now. It was still fun. I got to be in that world. I’ve watched all of it. It’s just an incredible TV show. Even just to get such a toe in there is fun. Just to be on set and kind of feel like I was in that world, I was a fan sitting there at the table doing that scene.”

According to The Watchers on The Wall, The role has already been recast, now playing the role of Dickson will be Black Sails’ Tom Hopper joins the program.

While fans are waiting for every episode to see what happens with our favorite Thrones characters, creator George RR. Martin has promised that these last seasons will be epic and will feature some major twists. George RR. Martin has told showrunners of Thrones three major twists that will be taking place throughout the series. Two have already revealed to fans but the final twist won’t be shown until the very end of the series.

Game of Thrones will be moving from a ten-episode season to seven when it returns.
