Gal Gadot’s turn as Wonder Woman has become a global phenomenon. Following a worldwide gross of $807 million and critical acclaim, the DC Comics film has shown off an ideal, or a symbol for people the world over to strive for and live up to be like.
When asked on the Blu-ray commentary track why she loves Wonder Woman, Gal Gadot replied that she believes the appeal of the character as a perfect role model lies in her flaws:
“What I love about this character is she’s not perfect. She allows herself to show her flaws. She’s this open character. So I think this is something that I relate to. I’m a person who’s very open. I love people. I wouldn’t say that I enjoy showing my flaws but I don’t mind showing my weaknesses to the outside world because each and every one of us has their own weaknesses and flaws. So for me it’s natural, and the more we feel comfortable with it the more lovely it is.”
The film stars Gal Gadot as Diana Prince/Wonder Woman, Chris Pine as Steve Trevor, Robin Wright as General Antiope, Connie Nielsen as Queen Hippolyta, Lisa Loven Kongsli as Menalippe, Danny Huston as General Erich Ludendorff, David Thewlis as Sir Patrick Morgan, Elena Anaya as Doctor Maru, Ewen Bremner as Charlie, Saïd Taghmaoui as Sameer and Eugene Brave Rock as the Chief. Here’s the official synopsis:

5 Things The ‘Batgirl’ Movie Needs To Get Right
DC has been on a roll recently with reports concerning future spin-off films. Some of these reported projects are just speculative, but a Batgirl movie from director Joss Whedon is something that’s already been officially confirmed to be happening. With Whedon heading the film, there is a lot of excitement in the air, but this is a challenging project to tackle and do right. Batgirl is much beloved, and outside of animation and some comics, the character has not been given the time to lead a feature film.
Making Batgirl the lead of a movie may sound like a challenging concept, but it can definitely work. There are things that the film can do that can be new and original, but there’s a lot more to it than that. Warner Bros. and DC have to find a way to make sure that aspects and creative decisions made on the film reflect the character in a positive way. If everything’s done right, Batgirl could make for a truly great superhero film.
