‘Game Of Thrones’: Emilia Clarke Discusses Daenerys’ Shocking Loss

Game of Thrones Emilia ClarkeWarning: this article contains major spoilers from Game of Thrones Season 7, Episode 6, “Beyond the Wall”

This weeks Game of Thrones finally gave fans what they have been clamoring for — for the better part of six seasons: A battle between White Walkers and Daenerys’ Dragons. Although, it came at a cost. During the epic battle, the Night King was able to do what the Lannister army could not and kill a dragon. And to add insult to injury, the Night King resurrected the mighty beast to join his ranks.

Entertainment Weekly caught up with the Mother of Dragons’ herself, Emilia Clarke and discussed the actresses reaction to the death of Viserion:

“It’s a heartbreak, Not only losing it but having that being given to the other side.”

Clarke then went on to add how these events will impact Daenerys as the season comes to a close:

“My dragon could not have died for nothing, so this is now so important, For the first time, you’re starting to see her defenses broken.”
