Earlier today DC Comics and Warner Bros. made the big announcement that CW DC producer Greg Berlanti and A Beautiful Mind scribe Akiva Goldsman are teaming up to bring the Teen Titans to live-action. Titans will be one of the two new shows to launch a brand new DC digital platform when both it and Young Justice: Outsiders premiere in 2018.
One of the executive producers, Geoff Johns, co-head of DC Films and co-writer of the pilot, tweeted out his excitement today about the big announcement. But interestingly enough, he ended the tweet with a very interesting hashtag that might imply that a certain character will be appearing in the series.

Garfield Logan a.k.a. Beast Boy is one of the most well-known members of the Teen Titans and has appeared in the media several times. While we know so far that the show will be featuring Dick Grayson (as well as Starfire and Raven, based on the synopsis), it wouldn’t be surprising if Logan gets added too.
“Titans explores one of the most popular comic book teams ever. It follows a group of young soon-to-be superheroes recruited from every corner of the DC Universe. In the action-adventure series, Dick Grayson emerges from the shadows to become the leader of a fearless band of new heroes that includes Starfire, Raven and others.”

5 Teen Titans Stories That Deserve The Animated Treatment
With Teen Titans: Judas Contract on the way, it’s a good time to be a Teen Titans fan.
In recent years the DC animated features have been doing a great job in adapting compelling story arcs. I think they should keep their eyes on the Titans if they want to continue releasing emotionally rich stories. Not only do the Titans stories feature great fight scenes, but they all feel like personal stories about characters continually growing and trying to find their place in the world. Let me just apologize in advanced for the fact Geoff Johns has such a solid place on this list. His run on Teen Titans helped solidify my love of comics and turned me into a monthly reader.
