UPDATE: Apparently it’s not a film project. Could be the Watchmen series rumored to air on HBO.
Geoff Johns and Jon Berg took over the newly founded DC Films division at Warner Bros. last month. The new co-runners are off to an amazing start. They started by trying to win over the press and the general public. I think they’ve done exactly that. By allowing a few journalists to come to the set of Justice League and post an early set report, people are singing a different tune.
We had a chance to visit the set and you can check out what our Editor In Chief, Umberto Gonzalez thought about it here. But this story is about something very surprising that came from a set report from JoBlo. Apparently, everything is great behind the scenes. They even claim that Zack Snyder is working on a secret project with Geoff Johns.
“Geoff Johns becomes the topic of conversation as Zack shows his admiration for his work and comic-book world knowledge. Zack also mentions an upcoming project that they’ll be working on but wasn’t allowed to discuss further with us.”
I wonder what the project could be? It definitely has to be a DC Films project because that’s what Johns is putting all of his focus on for the foreseeable future. But, which DC project? Could it be Green Lantern Corps or the Watchmen TV series? Johns is known for his love for and revitalization of the Green Lantern comics. So, it could very well be that Zack Snyder is attached to Green Lantern Corps, instead of Justice League 2. All of this is just an educated guess on my end. Who knows? They could probably be working on that 300 styled George Washington film Snyder has mentioned before. What do you guys think it is? Sound off in the comments section below.
Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.
Directed by Zack Snyder, this marks the big screen debut of the Justice League, featuring an all-star lineup: Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Gal Gadot, Jason Momoa, Ezra Miller and Ray Fisher.
Justice League hits theaters November 17th, 2017!
