New ‘Ghost In The Shell’ Trailer Arriving This Week

ghost-in-the-shellDespite starting off with some controversy over Scarlett Johansson’s casting, the live-action adaptation of Ghost in the Shell got a lot of praise when the first trailer hit the web. The movie and Johansson certainly look stunning, the action out of this world and it also seems very respectful of its source material. You can check out that sneak peek below.

And now we got confirmation that the next trailer will arrive later this week attached to Paramaount’s release of xXx: Return of Xander Cage, and is set to be a little over 2 minutes long. It definitely makes sense for it to be shown with Vin Diesel’s latest action flick, and we also expect to see it officially online by Friday, along with some new images from the movie.

Based on the internationally-acclaimed sci-fi property, “GHOST IN THE SHELL” follows the Major, a special ops, one-of-a-kind human-cyborg hybrid, who leads the elite task force Section 9. Devoted to stopping the most dangerous criminals and extremists, Section 9 is faced with an enemy whose singular goal is to wipe out Hanka Robotic’s advancements in cyber technology.
