Ghost Rider & Punisher Stars Interested In ‘Thunderbolts’ TV Show

Ghost Rider Thunderbolts PunisherIt looks like Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’s Gabriel Luna and The Punisher’s Jon Bernthal are game for a team-up in the form of the Thunderbolts. At the recent Phoenix Comic-Con, both actors were asked if they were interested in a Thunderbolts show.

First Luna was asked if he would want to do a show like Thunderbolts and the actor expressed wanting to work with Bernthal’s The Punisher and Elodie Yung’s Elektra. After Luna’s panel, Bernthal was informed about Luna’s interest for them to team-up and then asked if he would want to take part of a series like that. Reportedly, Bernthal expressed the same interest, should the script be right.

Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Season 5 will premiere sometime at the end of the year at its new timeslot, Friday nights at 9/8c on ABC.

Marvel’s The Punisher, starring Jon Bernthal (The Walking Dead) as Frank Castle, Ben Barnes as Billy Russo (The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian), Ebon Moss-Bachrach (Girls) as Micro, Jason R. Moore (A Lonely Place for Dying) as Curtis Hoyle, Daniel Webber (11.22.63) as Lewis Walcott, Paul Schulze (Nurse Jackie) as Rawlins, Jaime Ray Newman (Bates Motel) as Sarah Lieberman, Michael Nathanson (The Knick) as Sam Stein, and Deborah Ann Woll (Daredevil) as Karen Page, is set to come out on Netflix later this year.

Steve Lightfoot (Hannibal, Casualty) is attached as the show-runner and executive producer who wrote the first two episodes of the series. Marvel TV President Jeph Loeb along with Jim Chory are also executive producing.
