‘Ghost In The Shell’ Featurettes Spotlight Director & Shelling Sequence

Ghost
Paramount Pictures has released two brand new featurettes for the upcoming live-action adaptation of the classic anime Ghost in the Shell.

The featurettes spotlight the iconic shelling sequence of The Major (Scarlett Johansson) brought to life from the original film’s opening credit sequence as well as director Rupert Sanders’ visionary take on the anime.

Sanders looks as if he has gone above and beyond what anyone could have hoped for, crafting what seems to be fresh and original adaptation while remaining faithful to the anime with imaginative production design complemented by gorgeous cinematography. He has combined both 80’s and 90’s aesthetics to offer a version of the future that is dark, stylish, and sexy.

You can check out the new featurettes below.

The film stars Scarlett Johansson, Pilou Asbæk, Michael Pitt, Juliette Binoche, Kaori Momoi, Rila Fukushima, Chin Han, Danusia Samal, Lasarus Ratuere, Yutaka Izumihara, Tuwanda Manyimo, and Takeshi Kitano. Here’s the official synopsis:
