Karen Gillan On Nebula’s Human Side; Size Of ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ Role

Nebula Avengers Infinity War
Earlier this week actress Karen Gillan revealed that Nebula, who was first seen in Guardians of the Galaxy, will appear in Avengers: Infinity War. Now, in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Gillan discussed Nebula’s role in the Guardians sequel and teased how much Nebula will appear in the third Avengers film.

Gillan expressed her excitement for upcoming sequel and hinted that audiences will see a new side to Nebula.

I’m so excited for people to see it! I just feel like it’s all of the best elements of the first one, just amplified. It’s even better – it’s funnier, the music’s even better … the second album is a blinder. It’s great. And in the first one everyone was being established. Now that that’s out of the way, you really get to delve into all of their dilemmas and things like that. I think family would really be the main theme of the thing. And my character Nebula is dealing with a whole lot of stuff there – we see a whole new side to her. A much more human side actually, where we understand how truly awful and difficult her daddy issues are.”

After Gillan announced that Nebula would make an appearance in Avengers: Infinity War, fans began to speculate on just how large the character’s role would be in the ensemble feature. Gillan would only comment that she is satisfied with the significance of Nebula’s role.

“Yeah, she’s making a cheeky appearance there. I don’t know how much I’m allowed to say, but I’’m pretty happy with how much she gets to do.”

Are you excited to see a new side to Nebula? What role do you think she will play in Avengers: Infinity War?
