‘Glass’ Trailer Announcement Teases The Return Of David Dunn

Glass Split Unbreakable

A new trailer teaser for M. Night Shyamalan’s follow-up to 2000’s Unbreakable and 2017’s Split, titled Glass, focuses on the character David Dunn, played by Bruce Willis.

Earlier this week, fans got a tease for Friday’s Glass trailer premiere that focused on James McAvoy’s returning character Kevin Wendell Crumb. Universal Pictures has released another teaser for the upcoming Glass trailer, but this one focuses on Bruce Willis’ returning Unbreakable character, David Dunn. Check out the teaser below.

Ever since fans saw David Dunn make a surprise appearance at the end of Split, they have been clamoring for a follow-up with the character going up against the Horde. Shyamalan talked about an Unbreakable sequel for years after the first film’s initial release, though after a while it seemed as though the project was dead. That was until Split became a smash hit at the box office in 2017.

Glass won’t be hitting theaters until January of 2019, but fans will get their first official look at the film when the trailer premieres this Friday. Here’s the official synopsis:

Following the conclusion of SplitGlass finds Dunn pursuing Crumb’s superhuman figure of The Beast in a series of escalating encounters, while the shadowy presence of Price emerges as an orchestrator who holds secrets critical to both men.

This riveting culmination of his worldwide blockbusters will be produced by Shyamalan and Jason Blum, who also produced the writer/director’s previous two films for Universal. They produce again with Ashwin Rajan and Marc Bienstock, and Steven Schneider, who will executive produce.

Written and directed by M. Night Shyamalan, Glass stars Bruce Willis as David Dunn, Samuel L. Jackson as Elijah Price (Mr. Glass), James McAvoy as Kevin Wendell Crumb (The Horde), Anya Taylor-Joy as Casey Cooke, Spencer Treat Clark as Joseph Dunn, Charlayne Woodard as Mrs. Price, and Sarah Paulson in an undisclosed role.

Glass is scheduled to be released in theaters on January 18, 2019.
