Longtime Batman fans are aware that the Caped Crusader has always had a tricky relationship with Selina Kyle a.k.a. Catwoman. On the FOX drama Gotham, that is definitely the case for the teenage versions of Bruce Wayne and Selina. We saw the two teenagers really hitting a dark place in their relationship towards the third season and it looks like it will get tougher from there.
David Mazouz, who plays Bruce on Gotham, recently spoke about the struggling relationship between the two characters. According to the actor, the relationship will crumble even more in Season 4.
“That’s a tricky relationship. Bruce and Selina are in many ways toxic for each other. But in many ways, they have this incredible chemistry with each other that’s undeniable. Bruce was fed up with how many times she didn’t care about him. He knew she wasn’t there for him when he needed her, and he ended up pushing her away. Going into season 4 that’s going to continue. Their relationship as we know it is going to crumble.”
The cast and creative team will be attending this year’s San Diego Comic-Con where we’ll learn more about Season 4. All that we know about the new season so far is that Alexander Siddig’s Ra’s Al Ghul, who made his debut in the Season 3 finale, will play a big role in Season 4.
“Gotham’s origin story continues to unfold, and as the show enters its fourth season, the stakes will be higher than ever! With the Court of Owls decimated, the aftermath of the Tetch virus crippling the city, and every (surviving) villain in Gotham’s underworld jockeying for power, Jim Gordon and the GCPD will have their hands full. And that’s just the beginning! What threat does Ra’s al Ghul pose, and will Penguin regain his title as the King of Gotham? What new villains are in store for season four, and what does Bruce Wayne’s season finale reveal mean for Gotham City — and his ultimate destiny?”
Gotham Season 4 is set to premiere on Thursday, September 28 at 8/7c on FOX..
