‘Gotham’ Casts ‘Breaking Bad’ Star Michael Bowen As Matches Malone

As Gotham gets ready to wrap up its first half of the second season tonight, we are already getting details what is in store for the second half when the show returns after its hiatus on February 29, 2016.

Comicbook.com broke the news that Breaking Bad star Michael Bowen has been tapped to play the Batman character Patrick “Matches” Malone in the second half of the season. Warner Bros. TV also provided Comicbook.com with this description of the character for the show.

“One of Gotham’s deadliest killers, Matches Malone is a weathered, philosophical hitman who may be the triggerman behind one of the most important crimes in Gotham’s history.”

Matches Malone was first referenced as “M. Malone” the other week on the show when Silver told Bruce the name of his parent’s killers, meaning that Bruce may now be closer to getting the man who took his family away. Expect to see him sometime in the second half of Gotham’s second season when it returns from the hiatus.

Catch new episodes of Gotham on Monday nights, 8/7c on FOX.
