‘Gotham’ Panel at SDCC Goes In-Depth With Details On Season Three

The panel for Fox’s Gotham at San Diego Comic-Con was complete with fun interactions, breaking news and a brand new sizzle reel that featured new footage from the upcoming third season of Gotham! The panel featured a number of cast members including Ben Mckenzie, Robin Lord Taylor, Morena Baccarin, Camren Bicondova and David Mazouz.

Executive producer Danny Cannon explained that this season will continue to push limits and will spiral out of control. These type of events will set up the need for the caped crusader.

Here are some major highlights from the panel:

  • The stakes have increased from previous seasons.
  • David Mazouz opened up about playing two different versions of Bruce Wayne.
  • Camren Bicondova talked about what it will be like playing against a new Poison Ivy (being played byClare Foley).
  • Six months will have passed when season three starts.
  • When Edward Nygma is free from Arkham he has a completely clean slate and no allegiance to anyone in the Gotham Police Department. He added that working with Oswald Cobblepot will result in some great things to look out for.
  • Many hints were dropped that the impact of the Joker would be felt heavily throughout season three.

Gotham’s origin story continues to unfold, and as the show enters its third season, the stakes will be higher than ever! Super Villains are continuing to push Gotham City toward the brink, and while Jim Gordon remains at the forefront of the fight against crime in this dangerously corrupt city, how far will he go to save Gotham? Throughout season two, Gordon’s moral compass wavered more than ever, creating both personal and professional dilemmas in his life as villains emerged from the city’s darkest places, including Arkham Asylum’s secret experimental lab, Indian Hill. Bruce Wayne also began to unravel some of Gotham City’s — and his family’s — deepest secrets, leading him to discover that Wayne Enterprises could be behind some very dangerous schemes poised to tear the city apart. Be among the first to see what’s in store for season three as Gotham returns to Comic-Con with a special video presentation, followed by a Q&A with series stars and producers. From Warner Bros.
