Gotham just finished its third and strongest season of all time as the Court of Owls storyline came to an end while Ra’s Al Ghul entered Bruce Wayne’s life. Last night we had a two-hour finale where a lot of things went down and now the ratings have come in for both episodes.
TV By The Numbers reported that Part 1 of the finale titled “Destiny Calling” pulled in 3.07 million viewers while Part 2, titled “Heavydirtysoul” pulled in 3.04 million viewers. Both episodes had a 0.9/4 in the Adults 18-49 Rating/Share. The finale ended with Bruce taking the next step to get closer to his comic book destiny which will be one of the main plots in Season 4.
“With the deadly virus spreading throughout the city, the search for the antidote continues, as Fish Mooney (guest star Jada Pinkett Smith), The Riddler and Penguin reveal plans of their own. Bruce meets Ra’s Al Ghul (guest star Alexander Siddig) and completes his last task in order to fulfill his destiny, but realizes he can’t let go of his past. Meanwhile, Gordon tries to win back Lee, and past alliances within Gotham City are broken, while new alliances are formed.”
Gotham will return for its fourth season sometime in the fall at its new time slot on Thursday nights at 8/7c on FOX.
