Gotham fans have been waiting several seasons to get their first real look at Batman’s nemesis, the Joker. While the showrunners have said on numerous occasions that Jerome, played by Cameron Monaghan, is not the future Clown Prince of Crime, new set photos indicate that the character will finally be appearing on the show this season.
The set photos show Cameron Monaghan in a classic Joker costume, decked out in purple and sporting a recognizable wide-brimmed hat. Despite being portrayed by the same actor that has embodied Jerome for so many years, this is a completely different character and one who will surely cause a lot of trouble for Bruce Wayne and the rest of Gotham City’s citizens.

This is legitimately so perfect, we’ve barely seen anything and it’s already one of my favorite live-action Joker designs pic.twitter.com/T8UCv3KL3e

10 Characters Batman Has Surprisingly Beaten
Everyone knows Batman is a sharp fighter, but at the end of the day he is human. Even the most impressive human has their limits, but the Caped Crusader seems to always find a way to come out on top. Whether he is fighting with the Justice League or alone, Bruce Wayne knows how to think on his toes and succeed in any situation.
He may normally fight villains, but Batman has taken down a fair share of heroes over the years as well. The Justice League may be full of mighty heroes, but it’s the Caped Crusader who is the most dangerous individual on the team.
