Grant Gustin’s ‘The Flash’ Gets His Chinstrap Cowl Back In New Image

Grant Gustin’s Barry Allen gets his iconic chinstrap back on his The Flash season five suit in this cool new image.

The fifth season of the Grant Gustin series The Flash gave Barry Allen an upgraded costume, but fans were split on the cowl as it lacked the comic-accurate chinstrap that all of his previous suits featured. Although Grant Gustin’s costume lost one of its main features, that’s not enough to stop fans from reimagining the Scarlett Speedster’s latest outfit complete with a comic-accurate chinstrap. You can check out what Grant Gustin’s current costume for The Flash would look like with the chinstrap below!

What do you think? Do you like Barry Allen’s upgraded costume with the chinstrap? Which of Grant Gustin’s costumes from The Flash have been your favorite? Sound-off your thoughts in the comments section!

The Flash will return for its sixth season later this year, with the series becoming the network’s main DC Comics drama  and Grant Gustin’s Barry Allen seemingly leading the other Arrowverse superheroes forward after Arrow completes its final 10-episode run in the fall. Details on the sixth season of the series are under wraps, but the creative team is said to be casting a new male villain and a “socially awkward” scientist to appear opposite Grant Gustin. Filming is currently underway.

Keep an eye out later this week for a possible first look at the sixth season as Warner Bros. Television is bringing Grant Gustin’s The Flash to this year’s San Diego Comic-Con, as part of The CW’s superhero lineup. On Saturday, the Batwoman pilot screening and Q&A kicks off at 10:30 a.m. in Ballroom 20. In tow will be the final SDCC panel for Stephen Amell’s Arrow at 3:30 p.m., followed by the Supergirl panel at 4:15 p.m., the Black Lightning panel at 5 p.m., and Grant Gustin’s The Flash at 5:45 p.m. to round out The CW’s content.

The series stars Grant Gustin as Barry Allen / The Flash, Candice Patton as Iris West, Danielle Panabaker as Caitlin Snow / Killer Frost, Carlos Valdes as Cisco Ramon / Vibe, Tom Cavanagh as Harrison “Sherloque” Wells, Jesse L. Martin as Joe West, Danielle Nicolet as Cecile Horton, Hartley Sawyer as Ralph Dibny / Elongated Man, Jessica Parker Kennedy as Nora West-Allen, and Chris Klein as Cicada.

The Flash airs on Tuesday at 8:00 p.m. on The CW. Stay tuned for the latest news on the Grant Gustin series!
