An awesome new fan edit shows The Flash star Grant Gustin as Wally West for The CW’s Arrowverse.
Although The Flash star Grant Gustin has played Barry Allen on The CW for a number of years now, this cool fan art trasnforms the actor into a completely different speedster for a future season of the Arrowverse series. We’ve already seen The New 52-inspired Wally West become Kid Flash in the show, played by Keiynan Lonsdale, but the actor left the series in 2018. However, this artwork of Gustin shows The Flash star as the other version of Wally West that comic book readers have loved for decades.
This Wally West fan art is clearly inspired by the version of the hero who returned to the DC Universe during DC Rebirth and donned his own Flash costume, which looks like a combination of the Kid Flash outfit and the Scarlet Speedster’s usual suit. In the concept from digital artist ‘rinsh_art’, Grant Gustin dons the red-haired hero’s costume, complete with the blue lightning. It would definitely be an interesting take and obviously anything’s possible with the multiverse. However, it might feel like a cheap way of bringing another Wally West in, even if this design is impressive. You can check out the artwork below.

Grant Gustin’s The Flash is set to return next year on The CW. Here is the official synopsis for The Flash season seven:
Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) lived a normal life as a perpetually tardy C.S.I. in the Central City Police Department. Barry’s life changed forever when the S.T.A.R. Labs Particle Accelerator exploded, creating a dark-matter lightning storm that struck Barry, bestowing him with superspeed and making him the fastest man alive — The Flash. After a thrilling cliffhanger last season which saw the new Mirror Master (Efrat Dor) victorious and still-at-large in Central City, The Flash must regroup in order to stop her and find a way to make contact with his missing wife, Iris West-Allen (Candice Patton).
With help from the rest of Team Flash, which includes superheroes Caitlin Snow (Danielle Panabaker), Cisco Ramon (Carlos Valdes), Ralph Dibny (Hartley Sawyer), and Nash Wells (Tom Cavanagh), as well as the Flash’s adoptive father Joe West (Jesse L. Martin), Meta-Attorney Cecile Horton (Danielle Nicolet), tough cub reporter Allegra Garcia (Kayla Compton) and brilliant tech-nerd Chester P. Runk (Brandon McKnight)… Flash will ultimately defeat Mirror Master. But in doing so, he’ll also unleash an even more powerful and devastating threat on Central City: one that threatens to tear his team—and his marriage—apart.
The Flash stars Grant Gustin as Barry Allen, Candice Patton as Iris West, Danielle Panabaker as Caitlin Snow / Killer Frost, Carlos Valdes as Cisco Ramon / Vibe, Tom Cavanagh as Harrison Wells, Jesse L. Martin as Joe West, and Danielle Nicolet as Cecile Horton.
The Flash will return on The CW in 2021. Stay tuned for all the latest news on the upcoming season of The Flash and be sure to subscribe to Heroic Hollywood’s YouTube channel for more original content.
