‘Guardians Of The Galaxy: Vol 2’ Begins Production


You ready for more Guardians of the Galaxy, Marvel fans? So are we as Marvel Studios and Disney officially announced today that James Gunn’s second installment of Guardians of the Galaxy has begun production! They have started production at Pinewood Studios in Atlanta Georgia and will be shooting there throughout the whole production.

In the official press release, they not only revealed everyone that is coming back, but also making it official that Pom Klementieff, Elizabeth Debicki, Chris Sullivan, and Kurt Russell, have all joined the cast as well.

UPDATE: Gunn has revealed that Klementieff will indeed be bringing Mantis to life in the follow-up. Additionally, the director has also confirmed on his Facebook page that Glenn Close will reprise her role as Nova Prime in the movie.

“Set to the all-new sonic backdrop of Awesome Mixtape #2, “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2” continues the team’s adventures as they unravel the mystery of Peter Quill’s true parentage.” 

Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol 2 is set to come out in theaters on May 5, 2017.
