James Gunn Explains Deleted Yondu Scene In ‘Thor: Ragnarok’

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 YonduGuardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn offered an explanation for how a deleted scene featuring Michael Rooker’s Yondu was included in the bonus material for Thor: Ragnarok.

Thor: Ragnarok arrived on Digitial HD this week and fans were surprised to see that Michael Rooker’s Yondu was featured in the bonus material for the God Thunder’s third standalone film. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 director James Gunn offered an explanation for how the scene came to be and Michael Rooker later confirmed that Gunn’s story was correct.

In Marvel Studios’ “Thor: Ragnarok,” Thor (Chris Hemsworth) is imprisoned on the other side of the universe without his mighty hammer and finds himself in a race against time to get back to Asgard to stop Ragnarok – the destruction of his home world and the end of Asgardian civilization – at the hands of an all-powerful new threat, the ruthless Hela (Cate Blanchett). Thor: Ragnarok is now available on Digital HD and will be released on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD release on March 6, 2018.
