‘Halloween’ Begins Filming; Adds New Cast Members

According to Bloddy Disgusting several young actors, including Virginia “Ginny” Gardner (Project Almanac, Marvel’s “Runaways”), Miles Robbins (Mozart in the Jungle, My Friend Dahmer), Dylan Arnold (Mudbound, Laggies, When We Rise), and Drew Scheid (“Stranger Things”, The War with Grandpa) have joined the film as school friends of Andi Matichak’s character.

According to Tracking Board, Matichak will be crossing paths with Haddonfield’s most infamous resident, Michael Myers as the film’s young lead character alongside Jamie Lee Curtis who returns in the iconic role of Laurie Strode with Judy Greer as Laurie’s daughter, Karen. The site is also reporting that Matichak will be portraying the yet unnamed daughter of Greer, making her Curtis’ granddaughter in the film.

While details are still mum in regards to the film’s plot, Green and the film’s co-writer Danny McBride advises that the film will take place after the original 1978 film, ignoring all of the sequels that followed.

Jamie Lee Curtis is set to reprise her role as Laurie Strode, with Judy Greer in talks to portray her daughter, Karen. In addition to directing, Green is writing the script with Danny McBride. The project is being produced by Malek Akkad, and executive produced by John Carpenter, Green, McBride, and Jason Blum.
