‘Halloween’ Sequel Officially Wraps Principal Photography

john carpenter michael myers laurie strode jamie lee curtis halloweenRyan Turek, the VP of Feature Film Development at Blumhouse Productions, has announced on his Twitter account that the Halloween sequel has wrapped filming.

The news comes only a week after Jamie Lee Curtis, who is returning to the franchise as Laurie Strode, announced she had also wrapped her scenes after only two weeks on set, leading many fans to worry Laurie may have a smaller role than originally thought or that she meets a gruesome end at the hands of the Shape.

Directed by David Gordon Green, the untitled Halloween sequel stars Jamie Lee Curtis, Judy Greer, Andi Matichak, Will Patton, Virginia Gardner, Miles Robbins, Dylan Arnold, Drew Scheid and Nick Castle. Here’s the official synopsis:

Laurie Strode comes to her final confrontation with Michael Myers, the masked figure who has haunted her since she narrowly escaped his killing spree on Halloween night four decades ago.

The untitled Halloween sequel will be released on October 19, 2018.
