Thanks to a new production listing, it appears the continuation of the Halloween franchise will not be shooting in Louisiana as was originally thought. Directed by David Gordon Green, perhaps best known for Pineapple Express, the film will begin shooting some time this month in South Carolina.
You can check out the listing below, which includes a brief synopsis:
One of the most attractive aspects of the film is that it will see the return of Jamie Lee Curtis, who will continue her confrontation with Michael Myers after she escaped him in 1978. Backed by Blumhouse, the script being co-written by Danny McBride has also been a point of interest for fans.
Halloween is a Trancas International Films, Blumhouse Productions, and Miramax production. John Carpenter returns to serve as executive producer and creative consultant on the project alongside Jason Blum, with David Gordon Green and Danny McBride exec producing under their Rough House Pictures banner. Malek Akkad will also produce. Green will direct the film from a script co-written by himself and McBride. Universal Pictures will distribute worldwide.
Halloween is currently slated to hit theaters Oct. 19, 2018. Stay tuned for the latest news on the development of the Halloween franchise as we learn it.
