Black Mirror and Killjoy star Hannah John-Kamen is joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Variety revealed today that she has landed a “key role” in Ant-Man & the Wasp. No details were given about her character in the Ant-Man sequel which arrives in theaters next year.
Production is getting ready to kick-off sometime this month in Atlanta, Georgia under the production name Cherry Blue. Peyton Reed, who directed the first installment of the franchise, is returning to direct the sequel. The Ant-Man sequel is just one of several Marvel films that are coming in 2018 from the MCU.
Chadwick Boseman will kick off 2018 as he reprises the role of T’Challa a.k.a. Black Panther in his own solo film which arrives on February 16, 2018. We then have the release of the third Avengers installment with Avengers: Infinity War on May 4, 2018.
Marvel’s Ant-Man and The Wasp starring Paul Rudd as Scott Lang a.k.a. Ant-Man, Evangeline Lilly as Hope Van Dyne a.k.a. the Wasp, Michael Peña as Luis, Tip “T.I.” Harris and David Dastmalchian as Kurt, is set to come out in theaters on July 6, 2018.
