It’s hard to believe that eight months have passed since Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice premiered in theaters. The follow up to the already-divisive Man of Steel served as the bridge into what audiences can expect from the DC Extended Universe. The film received a less-than-stellar reception from critics and fans alike, but reactions to the film’s R-Rated Ultimate Edition were more positive.
With the critical reception to both Batman v Superman and Suicide Squad, DC has been going through a course-correction with their upcoming films Wonder Woman and Justice League. Both films are set to premiere next year, and will paint a more optimistic view of the DCEU.
Tonight, the Zack Snyder-directed film will make its premiere on premium cable on HBO (also owned by Time Warner). The film will premiere tonight at 8 p.m. EST. For those who have yet see the film or have been aching for a re-watch, they’ll have the opportunity to see it tonight if they’re subscribed to HBO. The film will also likely be available to stream on the HBO GO app.
Fearing the actions of a god-like Super Hero left unchecked, Gotham City’s own formidable, forceful vigilante takes on Metropolis’s most revered, modern-day savior, while the world wrestles with what sort of hero it really needs. And with Batman and Superman at war with one another, a new threat quickly arises, putting mankind in greater danger than it’s ever known before.
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is available now on 4K Blu-Ray, Blu-Ray, DVD and Digital HD.
