‘Hellboy: Rise Of The Blood Queen’ Art Teases 2018 Release

HellboyNew promo art on display at the Cannes Film Festival teases the recently announced R-rated Hellboy reboot Hellboy: Rise of the Blood Queen with Stranger Things star David Harbour could hit theaters as early as next year.

The project which has Neil Marshall (Game Of Thrones, The Descent) attached to direct has yet to go into production but is expected to commence principal photography early as this September. A release date has yet to be set but the promo art captured by Bloody Disgusting suggests a 2018 release for the reboot. You can check out the photos below.

Millennium Films is in negotiations produce the reboot with Larry Gordon and Lloyd Levin. Mike Richardson of Dark Horse Entertainment is also attached to produce the film based on the Dark Horse Comic created by Mike Mignola in 1993 about the demonic hero who became the world’s greatest paranormal investigator while combating occult threats for the Bureau for Paranormal Research and Defense. Hellboy first received a big screen adaptation from visionary director Guillermo Del Toro in 2004 which starred Ron Perlman as Hellboy.
