‘Hellboy’ Star Selma Blair On Not Being Involved In The Reboot

Selma Blair-HellboyWhen the Hellboy reboot was announced it was bittersweet for many, some were excited to see the iconic Demon return to the big screen and others disappointed the Guillermo Del Toro helmed franchise had come to an end. One person who doesn’t seem too thrilled about the reboot was Hellboy actress Selma Blair, who starred as Liz Sherman in both previous films.

In an interview with Yahoo Movies at the Toronto International Film Festival, Blair discussed the reboot, offering her thoughts on the reboot while promoting her new film Mom and Dad:<

“My Hellboy world is in Guillermo’s brain and that’s where it stays. They’ll do whatever they’ll do; it’ll be a totally different incarnation. My job is done.”

The film will star David Harbour as Hellboy, Ian McShane as Hellboy’s adoptive father, Sasha Lane as Alice Monaghan, Penelope Mitchell as Ganeida, Daniel Dae Kim as Major Ben Daimio and Milla Jovovich as the film’s villain, the Blood Queen. The film will be directed by Neil Marshall.

The Hellboy reboot is set to release sometime during 2018. Stay tuned to Heroic Hollywood for the latest news on Hellboy as we learn it.
