Justice League star Henry Cavill dons a DC Rebirth-inspired Superman suit in an awesome new concept design.
While many fans are excited to see Henry Cavill’s Superman jump into the black suit when Zack Snyder’s Justice League cut arrives on HBO Max, a new fan edit shows the star with a suit inspired by the DC Rebirth era. Readers familiar with DC Rebirth will know that it was DC’s way of rebooting the continuity following the New 52 series and it also managed to weave in the Watchmen timeline alongside some of its most famous characters like Doctor Manhattan and Rorschach. DC Rebirth showed off a sleek Superman design, blending the classic look for the Last Son of Krypton with the modern suit from the New 52.
The concept design from digital artist ‘jscomicart’ on Instagram mashes the DC Rebirth Superman suit with the costume Henry Cavill wore for Man of Steel, which perfectly translates the look from the page to the screen. There’s only a few minimal changes, but they work a treat. His red belt design adds more detail to the costume, as does the choice to make his boots blue with red highlights. Henry Cavill himself recently felt compelled to talk about the rumors involving Superman’s return to the DC Extended Universe, but decided it would go against what the hero stands for. Take a look at Cavill in the DC Rebirth Superman suit below.

Other DC projects currently in development at Warner Bros. include The Batman, The Flash standalone film, Green Lantern Corps, The Suicide Squad, and Shazam! 2. Meanwhile, Cavill can be as Superman in Man of Steel, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, and Justice League. Here’s the official synopsis for the Justice League movie:
Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.
Directed by Zack Snyder, Justice League stars Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Gal Gadot, Ezra Miller, Jason Momoa, Ray Fisher, Jeremy Irons, Diane Lane, Connie Nielsen, J. K. Simmons, and Ciarán Hinds.
