Superman actor Henry Cavill offered DC fans some hope for when we could see him return to the big screen as the Last Son of Krypton prior to Paramount Pictures’ presentation at CinemaCon tonight.
When Cavill will suit back up as Superman remains a big question for DC fans. While director Matthew Vaughn has been in talks to direct the sequel to Man of Steel, and even though he went as far as approaching Mark Millar to help him with the film, there has been no movement on the project. However, the latest comments from Cavill suggest his next outing as Superman following Justice League could be in motion soon.
Speaking to Fandango, Cavill was asked point blank when he would be playing Superman again. The actor revealed that while he doesn’t actually know, he has been involved in conversations regarding the next Superman project:
“I can’t answer that definitively right now. But I’m hoping sooner rather than later. I’ve been talking to certain people and hopefully, we’re going to start talking to other people who are responsible for making those calls. And we shall see.”

Justice League stars Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Gal Gadot, Ezra Miller, Jason Momoa, Ray Fisher, Amy Adams, Jesse Eisenberg, Amber Heard, Jeremy Irons, J.K. Simmons, Connie Nielsen, Julian Lewis Jones and Ciarán Hinds.
Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.
Justice League is now available on Digital HD, 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray, Blu-ray 3D Combo Pack, and DVD.
