Empire Magazine got JJ Abrams to spill the beans on Kylo Ren in The Force Awakens. While speaking with Empire JJ divulged that Kylo Ren is not a Sith and that he works under Andy Serkis’ character Supreme Leader Snoke. They also spoke about how The First Order came to be.

“That all came out of conversations about what would have happened if the Nazis all went to Argentina but then started working together again? What could be born of that? Could The First Order exist as a group that actually admired The Empire? Could the work of The Empire be seen as unfulfilled? And could Vader be a martyr? Could there be a need to see through what didn’t get done?”

RUMOR: Marvels Blade Reboot To Focus On Blade’s Daughter

Bleeding Cool is reporting that the Blade reboot will be a little more female focused.

“Bleeding Cool has previously reported that the newly to-be-relaunched Blade comic featuring the daughter of Blade, has been delayed.

I understand from well-connected sources that this is due to careful concern from up above the food chain, that the character and the comic are suddenly considered extremely important by the bean counters, and the multi-media folk.

Because the plan is that this new Blade will be the one that features in the next Blade movie.

The first successful movie based on a Marvel comic book, Wesley Snipes’ Blade was an unexpected hit, spawned two sequels and resurrected and remade the vampire hunting daywalker character within the Marvel Universe.

There has been much talk of new Blade films, given the more recent success of many more Marvel movies, and that the rights had returned to Marvel. And Wesley Snipes has been in talk about returning to the character with Marvel.

Could it be as a more fatherly figure?”

Chiwetel Ejiofor Talks Doctor Strange!

In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly Baron Mordo(Chiwetel Ejiofor) opened up about signing on to do Marvel’s Doctor Strange.

“I am doing Doctor Strange, and I’m incredibly excited about it,” he said to EW during a recent interview to promote Z for Zachariah, an indie apocalypse drama out in limited release this week. The Oscar nominee then added with a laugh: “That’s all I say.”

Ejiofor can’t elaborate further, but Marvel did provide some insight on his role during Disney’s D23 fan expo: the 38-year-old will play Baron Mordo in the new movie from director Scott Derrickson, which arrives in theaters in 2016. But while the plot secrets remain a mystery at the moment, Ejiofor did say he’s looking forward to working with Doctor Strange stars Benedict Cumberbatch and Tilda Swinton.

“He’s a good friend of mine,” Ejiofor said of Cumberbatch, who costarred with Ejiofor in 12 Years a Slave. “So, it’s gonna be fun. And Tilda Swinton — I haven’t worked with her, but I’m excited to work with her. She’s brilliant.” (Swinton is set to play the Ancient One in Strange.)”

Viola Davis Talks Suicide Squad

While recently speaking with the site who shall not be named, Viola Davis chatted about her first foray into Comic-Book Mythology.

“I’ve been working on the film since April 1st. It sounds like a lot, but I haven’t been working every day. I haven’t done a lot of comic book movies, actually I’ve done none! DC Comics have a tendency to have darker characters. You know, Batman is a darker character, Harley Quinn, the Joker, and what David Ayer has managed to do is humanize them. I think that you see it in the trailer too–just something different about it that makes you lean in.

What he’s explored is the pathology behind all of these characters, so you just get that extra spin that gives you the flavor and a look which is very different. And at the same time you get all the stuff that you’ve gotten before, which is the action, the special effects, the great makeup. I’m blown away by the movie. Once I saw the trailer, I was like, “Oh, my God. He really is a magician. So, it’s been a real pleasure working on it with David Ayer.”

In another interview with The New York Times she also reveals how many DCEU films she’s signed on for.

“This is my first big superhero movie. I signed on for three, so it needed to be a great experience,”

Viola is signed on for 3 DC Films, so it probably means she’s signed on for Justice League and a possible Suicide Squad sequel.
