‘Inifinity War’ Heroes With Less Screen Time Will Take Over In ‘Avengers 4’

Avengers Inifinity WarIt’s no secret that Avengers: Infinity War has one of the biggest ensemble casts of all time. After 18 films expanding earth, time and space, its pretty safe to say there will not be a shortage of star power in the upcoming blockbuster. For those worried their favorite character may have to take a back seat to the heavy fan favorites of Black Panther and Iron Man, rest assured they will have their day in the sun.

Its pretty obvious that fitting every hero into a 2-hour film with equal screen time is an impossible feat. The Marvel Cinematic Universe has grown so much, one wonders how The Russo Brothers and the film’s screenwriters, Steve McFeely and Christopher Markus, were able to balance this issue while still putting together a great story.  Fandango recently talked with Joe Russo about his massive cast of superheroes, and he confirmed that the game plan is for the supporting characters in Avengers: Infinity War to be pushed to the forefront for Avengers 4:

“We knew that because we had two films, Avengers 3 and 4, that in one movie we could push people to the forefront but then we could pull back in the second film and push other characters to the forefront who had less screen time in the first movie. We did have the opportunity to divide it up that way. So if you feel like one of your favorite characters didn’t get enough screen time in Avengers 3, well then wait ’til Avengers 4.”

So if you are concerned that Rocket may only have a few one liners or if Hawkeye’s absence in promotional material is any indication of his lack of screen time, fear no more. It now makes things more interesting when watching Avengers: Infinity War and keeping track of who will run the show in Avengers 4.

Infinity War is directed by Joe and Anthony Russo and stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Elizabeth Olsen, Paul Bettany, Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Bradley Cooper, Vin Diesel, Pom Klementieff, Karen Gillan, Sean Gunn, Benedict Cumberbatch, Tom Holland, Sebastian Stan, Chadwick Boseman, Cobie Smulders, Benedict Wong, Letitia Wright, Tom Hiddleston, Tessa Thompson, Benicio Del Toro, Danai Gurira and Josh Brolin.

Avengers: Infinity War will be released in theaters on April 27, 2018.
