‘Avengers: Infinity War’ Screenwriter May Have Confirmed ‘Doctor Strange’ Appearance

Doctor Strange

While it’s been widley speculated and assumed that we would see him pop up in the two-part upcoming Avengers: Infinity War, there’s yet to be any sort of confirmation regarding where we would see The Sorcerer Supreme following his solo film hitting theaters later this year. Speaking with Collider, one of the film’s screenwriters Stephen McFeely, might have just confirmed that we will indeed be seeing Stephen Strange pop up. While discussing actors schedules regarding the film’s production, McFeely chose to use Benedict Cumberbatch as an example rather than one of the actors already established as part of the film’s cast.

The scheduling has got to be a nightmare. You can’t just say, “Benedict Cumberbatch or whoever come to Atlanta for eight months.” It can’t work that way.

It only makes sense to have the character appear in the upcoming two-part event with Doctor Strange opening the Marvel Cinematic Universe up to magic, other dimensions and much more. When it comes to just how Strange fits into everything, that is going to be the interesting part. Let us know what you think in the comments section below.

But…they CAN say “come to Atlanta for eight months.” It’s called a contract.

    • Maximillian Pegasus

Not if he’s already doing a film at that time.

The general public has known for a while that Infinity War production was going to be an epic, continuous amount of time for a film shoot. If we knew, I’m sure the actors, agents, manager, etc. have had to take it into account. (Although I’m sure it’ll still be an insane headache for the people doing the broken down shoot schedule.)

How are these a surprise anymore?

  • Avengers+MCUspidey

Well Strange would be the most obvious to show up do to power level..

Do the actors have to be there for 8 months, or won’t they have down time in which other scenes with other characters are being shot? Anyway, two years away, so not that worried tbh.

  • Michael Brownlee

Doesn’t seem like an admission to me…though I’ve been expecting him to be there anyway so…

  • Worldmind

Would be great for Strange to appear in The Defenders, or for his second movie to be Doctor Strange And The Defenders 😉
