In a recent Twitter exchange, the creative director of the upcoming Spider-Man PS4 video game hinted that more info on the game may be released at this year’s SDCC.
The Twitter exchange occurred when an eager fan asked the game’s Creative Director, Bryan Intihar, if we would see a story trailer at SDCC:
Any story trailer at San Diego comic Con? #SpidermanPS4 @bryanintihar @jacinda_chew
Intihar respond with a “I guess we’ll see” gif. You can see the full exchange below:

Despite being one of the year’s most anticipated video games, relatively little is known about the actual plot of Spider-Man. The game was shown off extensively at this years E3 but mostly as a means of introducing villains and gameplay mechanics as opposed to story threads. All that is known is that the game follows Spider-Man after graduating from college and successfully taking down Wilson Fisk, a.k.a. the Kingpin. Not long after, Mister Negative appears and begins to move on Fisk’s territory, which appears to be the main setup of the game. Whether or not he will remain the main antagonist of the game, however, is currently unknown.
During the E3 presentation it was revealed that the Sinister Six would be playing a role in the game. How big of a role, however, is also unknown. So perhaps a story trailer at this years SDCC might be what the fans need to get an idea as to what this game is about!
Here is the synopsis of the game:
Starring the world’s most iconic Super Hero, Spider-Man PS4 (working title) features the acrobatic abilities, improvisation and web-slinging that the wall-crawler is famous for, while also introducing elements never-before-seen in a Spider-Man game. From traversing with parkour and utilizing the environment, to new combat and blockbuster set pieces, it’s Spider-Man unlike any you’ve played before.
Spider-Man PS4 will be released on September 7th, 2017.
