Sony Pictures has released a new international poster for the upcoming Stephen King adaptation of The Dark Tower directed by Nikolaj Arcel.
While the film itself is based on the novel series from King, it’s also been interpreted as a sequel or continuation of the novels. The new poster is an alternate version to the one released yesterday as it presents both Idris Elba as The Gun Slinger and Matthew McConaughey as The Man in Black back to back again but now with a beam of light splitting in between Mid-World and our own.
You can check out the new international poster below.
The film stars Idris Elba, Matthew McConaughey, Tom Taylor, Katheryn Winnick, Jackie Earle Haley, Fran Kranz, Abbey Lee Kershaw, Michael Barbieri and Claudia Kim.
The Dark Tower series tells the story of Roland Deschain, Mid-World’s last gunslinger, who is traveling southeast across Mid-World’s post-apocalyptic landscape, searching for the powerful but elusive magical edifice known as The Dark Tower. Located in the fey region of End-World, amid a sea of singing red roses, the Dark Tower is the nexus point of the time-space continuum. It is the heart of all worlds, but it is also under threat. Someone, or something, is using the evil technology of the Great Old Ones to destroy it.
The Dark Tower hits theaters August 4, 2017.
