Danny Rand, a.k.a. Iron Fist (Finn Jones), is teaming up with the titular hero of Luke Cage season 2 but fans who aren’t afraid of spoilers can learn just how the duo team-up in the upcoming Marvel/Netflix original.
Ever since it was revealed that Iron Fist would be working with Luke Cage (Mike Colter) in season 2 of the Harlem hero’s show, fans have been eagerly anticipating the team-up. The superhero duo has a long history in the comics and fans have been waiting to see the two headline their own Heroes for Hire show and it seems that it’s getting closer as ever to happen.
Iron Fist doesn’t actually appear until episode 10 of Luke Cage, but the Rand name is made apparent straight from the get-go. After Misty Knight (Simone Missick) injured her arm near the end of The Defenders, Luke Cage season 2 features Rand Industries building Misty’s iconic bionic arm from the comics. When Bushmaster (Mustafa Shakir) hunts down the heroes in the second half of Luke Cage, Iron Fist helps out Luke by letting him and his friends use a Rand Industries building as a safe house.
Don’t worry, though, as Iron Fist isn’t simply Luke and company’s landlord this season. The mystical superhero visits Luke and gives him some good old Uncle Ben-esque superhero advice. It’s then that the two embark on a mission to take down Bushmaster, resulting in an action scene that is sure to whet the appetite of any fan excited for the duo teaming up Heroes for Hire style.
