Iron Fist is going to be a completely different Marvel show when it arrives on Netflix. Last night during the Luke Cage SDCC panel fans were able to get a much better look at Iron Fist.
Marvel’s CCO Joe Quesada was talking about the upcoming property during a livestream with IGN. He discussed the fact that the show would be breaking a few Marvel records.
“I would say that Iron Fist has probably more villains in our first season than any of our other shows.”
Quesada added that showrunner Scott Buck and the other writers on the series are working in “great legends from Marvel’s past and present.”
The trailer teases his origin, sadly no dragon is seen, and has Danny Rand punching through a wall to seemingly escape his psych ward. The trailer looks fantastic despite only one line of dialogue, and I can’t wait to see more as we get closer to 2017, or even a possible cameo in Luke Cage.
Joe Quesada also had some words to get fans excited as he believes Iron First has more villains in its first season than any of the other Netflix shows. While this could be a concern in movies, over 13 hours multiple villains are definitely welcomed.
In Marvel’s Iron Fist, Danny Rand returns to New York City after being missing for years, trying to reconnect with his past and his family legacy. He fights against the criminal element corrupting his world around him with his incredible kung-fu mastery and ability to summon the awesome power of the fiery Iron Fist.
Netflix and Marvel’s next show, Luke Cage, will debut on September 30th.
