The fourth and final member of The Defenders is getting ready to join the Netflix line-up as Iron Fist comes out with its first season later this month. One of the major characters that we will see come to life in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, is Colleen Wing, played by Jessica Henwick, who in the comics is part of the Daughters of the Dragon duo that consist of her and Misty Knight.
Luke Cage featured the debut of Misty Knight as played by Simone Missick in the first season. In a recent interview with Nerdist, Finn Jones, who plays Danny Rand a.k.a. Iron Fist, expressed interest for spin-offs with the Daughters of the Dragon and the Heroes for Hire, with Luke Cage (Mike Colter) on Netflix.
“Going back to the Daughters of [the] Dragon thing, I think it’d be awesome to see a television series with the Heroes for Hire and Daughters of [the] Dragon working together to take down crime.”
“Fifteen years after being presumed dead in a plane crash, Danny Rand mysteriously returns to New York City determined to reclaim his birthright and family company. However, when a long-destined enemy rises in New York, this living weapon is forced to choose between his family’s legacy and his duties as the Iron Fist.”
Iron Fist, starring Finn Jones as Danny Rand, Jessica Henwick as Colleen Wing, Jessica Stroup as Joy Meachum, Tom Pelphrey as Ward Meachum, David Wenham as Harold Meachum and Carrie-Ann Moss reprising her role as Jeri Hogarth, is set to be released on Netflix on Friday, March 17. Jones and Henwick will also be reprising their roles in Marvel’s fifth Netflix series, The Defenders, which premieres this summer.
