Possible ‘Iron Fist’ Production Start Date & Codename Revealed; Might Have ‘Jessica Jones’ Connection

Recently we learned that Scott Buck had signed on as the showrunner of Marvel & Netflix’s upcoming Iron Fist series. Beyond that and a synopsis, not much else is known about the project. Well, we may have some new information according to website Point Of Geeks. The site reports that the series will begin production in New York next April under the codename “Kick”. While there’s been no word regarding exactly when the series would hit Netflix, with that start date it’s likely we will see it late 2016 or early 2017. The site then added two character descriptions that are being sent out as well.

25 – 28 yrs old Handsome and sophisticated, independent and a loner. SERIES REGULAR

45 – 50 yrs old Caucasian, highly intelligent, merciless, confident and arrogant, physically active. SERIES REGULAR

Could these possibly be casting calls for Danny Rand & the series villain Harold Meachum? With casting underway, it looks like we’ll finally find out who will be our Iron Fist soon. Finally, the site added that they have also heard that Carrie-Anne Moss will reprise her role as Jerri Hogarth in Iron Fist. Moss first appeared as the character, who is a re-imagined version of a character from the comics with ties to the Rand family, in Jessica Jones. This one was semi-expected due to the character’s background in the comics. But what role will she play in the series? What do you think about this all?
