Even with a property as near universally hated as Teen Titans Go!, Marvel still shows respect to their longtime rivals, DC, as shown when Iron Man himself Robert Downey Jr. attended the screening of the show’s big-screen adaptation, Teen Titans GO! To The Movies, and even got a photo with Deathstroke himself, Will Arnett.
The photo, posted on Downey’s Instagram account, sees Downey crouching down while holding two fans advertising the film, and posing with the show’s versions of Robin, Starfire, and Cyborg, with Arnett looming over Downey, hopefully not plotting to take over his mind (Don’t worry, Downey could totally take him).
In addition to showing some goodwill to the competition, Downey has shown that, much like Tony Stark himself, he can make anything look cool, even Teen Titans Go! and their big screen adventure.
Here is the synopsis for Teen Titans GO! To The Movies:
It seems to the Teens that all the major superheroes out there are starring in their own movies—everyone but the Teen Titans, that is! But de facto leader Robin is determined to remedy the situation, and be seen as a star instead of a sidekick. If only they could get the hottest Hollywood film director to notice them. With a few madcap ideas and a song in their heart, the Teen Titans head to Tinsel Town, certain to pull off their dream. But when the group is radically misdirected by a seriously super villain and his maniacal plan to take over the Earth, things really go awry. The team finds their friendship and their fighting spirit failing, putting the very fate of the Teen Titans themselves on the line!
Directed by Aaron Horvath and Peter Rida Michail, the film features the voice talents of Greg Cipes as Beast Boy, Scott Menville as Robin, Khary Payton as Cyborg, Tara Strong as Raven, Hyden Walch as Starfire, Will Arnett as Slade Wilson and Kristen Bell in an undisclosed role.
Teen Titans GO! To The Movies will be released in theaters on July 27, 2018.
10 Marvel & DC Villains Who Can Take Down Thanos
Thanos may have just taken down some of Marvel’s finest superheroes in Avengers: Infinity War, but he’s not the deadliest villain in comics. Both DC and Marvel are full of characters who are more powerful than the Mad Titan.
Admittedly, whenever Thanos is in possession of all six infinity stones he is the most powerful being in the universe, but anyone can harness that power if they successfully gather all the necessary components. If anything, Thanos is just incredibly patient and willing to wait to achieve his goals, a trait not many supervillains in DC or Marvel have. With the gauntlet, Thanos is essentially an immortal God who can snap his fingers and turn entire worlds to dust, but without it he’s just another villain who wants to rule the universe. He’s clearly a strong and terrifying guy, but if he were to face any of these villains without his Gauntlet, Thanos would be in big trouble.
