It seems like another big actress could be joining the Amazonian in her first solo outing on the big screen.
New rumors suggest that none other than Cate Blanchett could be taking on a role in the film. Check out a tweet about the potential casting from Heroic Hollywood’s own editor-in-chief Umberto Gonzalez:
A guy seemed to email all the cbm websites about Cate Blanchett being in WONDER WOMAN. I checked with agency sources & haven’t heard back.

As for what role Blanchett could be playing, Umberto had a pretty dynamite suggestion:
What role would Blanchett play? I would think it’s Hippolyta. When I hear back from my peeps I will let you guys know.

Again, this is a rumored casting, not a report. So, as exciting as it would be to have Cate Blanchett in ‘Wonder Woman’, take this one with a grain of salt for now. Hopefully more concrete details about the actresses’ potential involvement become available soon. Stay tuned to Heroic Hollywood for updates!
Is Cate Blanchett someone you would like to see in the DCEU? Do you agree that she’d be a good fit for Hippolyta? Let us know in the comments!
Wonder Woman makes her big screen debut in “Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice” on March 25, 2016. Her solo outing hits theaters June 23, 2017.
