Isaac Hempstead-Wright Reveals New ‘Game of Thrones’ Season 6 Details

Yesterday, Entertainment Weekly gave us our first look at Isaac Hempstead-Wright as the returning Bran Stark in the sixth season of Game of Thrones and today the magazine has revealed a few details from their interview with the actor. We last saw the character in the season four finale and since then he has been training with the Three Eyed Raven. Apparently, Bran will have a much larger role this season, so expect to see a lot more of him… and Hodor! Here’s what Hempstead-Wright had to say about working with veteran actor Max von Sydow:

There are certain lines that you think are almost fillers, like, ‘He’s over there,’ but when Max von Sydow says them, he can make it sound like it’s the most important news you’ve ever heard.

We’ve seen plenty of flashbacks in the previous seasons and it looks like we’re going to see even more of them moving forward, as well as glimpses of the future and the present. Here’s what the actor had to say about that:

Previously Bran’s seen tiny glimpses of future or past but never has he been very much in control in the situation, Now we’re given looks into very important events in the past, present and future of this world and Bran is beginning to piece them together like a detective, almost as if he’s watching the show. Equally, he’s now discovering how crucial he could be in the Great War. It’s quite Inception-y.

It will be interesting to see how the showrunners integrate these scenes in the upcoming seasons. What do you guys think? Sound-off your thoughts in the comment section below!
