Someone Turned ‘IT’ Pennywise Actor Bill Skarsgård Into Younger Joker For Matt Reeves’ The Batman And It’s Perfect

It seems that some want IT star Bill Skarsgård to play another killer clown as a new image has turned the actor into a younger Joker for Matt Reeves’ The Batman.

The image in question came from a Reddit post that discussed ideas for the casting of the Joker in Matt Reeves upcoming film The Batman. The logic was that if they were going for a relatively younger actor like Robert Pattinson, they should go for a younger Joker as well. The person that they came up for, however, was none other than Pennywise star, Bill Skarsgård. They even included an image to help make their case.

The image in question takes a picture of Bill Skarsgård and gives it a Joker makeover. He’s given the Batman antagonist’s red lips, skin tone, and green hair as he looks intimidatingly towards the viewer. You can see the full image of IT star Bill Skarsgård as the Batman antagonist, The Joker below:

Plot details for the Robert Pattinson Batman film are currently under wraps, though the film will center around a younger Bruce Wayne and features a Rogues’ Gallery of villains that reportedly includes Catwoman. The Matt Reeves film will follow the DC superhero during his formative years as Gotham City’s protector and will make use of the Dark Knight’s detective skills to a greater extent than previous DC Films. It is expected to be the first chapter in a new trilogy with Robert Pattinson as the Caped Crusader.

Matt Reeves’ The Batman is one of the many projects currently being developed by Warner Bros. and DC. These projects include The Flash standalone film, Green Lantern Corps, Black Adam, Cyborg, Supergirl, and New Gods.

The Batman is slated to hit theaters on June 25, 2021.

Bill Skarsgård’s next major film will be IT: Chapter Two. Here is a plot synopsis for the upcoming horror film:

Because every 27 years evil revisits the town of Derry, Maine, “IT CHAPTER TWO” brings the characters—who’ve long since gone their separate ways—back together as adults, nearly three decades after the events of the first film.

IT: Chapter Two will star Bill Skarsgard, James McAvoy, Jessica Chastain, Jay Ryan, Bill Hader, Isaiah Mustafa, James Ransone, Andy Bean, Jaeden Lieberher, Sophia Lillis, Jeremy Ray Taylor, Finn Wolfhard, Chosen Jacobs, Jack Dylan Grazer, and Wyatt Oleff.
