James Wan Defends Aquaman Wearing Leather Pants Underwater In Official Poster

Aquaman Jason Momoa DC Warner Brothers James WanAquaman director James Wan responds to a fan criticism surrounding the title character’s costume in the recently released poster for the film.

Aquaman is slowly but surely beginning its marketing campaign, and released an incredible new poster to kick off the audience anticipation. It didn’t take long for comic book fans to begin to nitpick the incredible poster, because that’s just the kind of people that we are. Wan, however, was having none of that and took to Twitter to respond to a, quite frankly ridiculous, complaint about Aquaman’s pants.

Yes, in a poster filled with dozens of CGI sharks and other badass sea animals, someone closed in on the pants.

I wonder how people will react if Jason Momoa ends up wearing the classic Aquaman costume after all…

The film reveals the origin of half-human, half-Atlantean Arthur Curry and takes him on the journey of his lifetime–one that will not only force him to face who he really is, but to discover if he is worthy of who he was born to be… a king.

Directed by James Wan, Aquaman stars Jason Momoa as Arthur Curry, Amber Heard as Mera, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Black Manta, Patrick Wilson as Orm, Dolph Lundgren as Nereus, Temuera Morrison as Thomas Curry, Nicole Kidman as Queen Atlanna, Willem Dafoe as Nuidis Vulko and Ludi Lin as Murk.

Aquaman is set to hit theaters on December 21, 2018.
